2. Visit to the German Fiscal Court (BFH)
Complementary to the institutes lectures we offer our students the opportunity to visit the highest German court dealing with taxes, the German fiscal court (BFH), in Munich. This way our students gain insights to a real trial case and the organisation of the fiscal court. For further information please visit our German website.
3. The Accounting Research Workshop
The Accounting Research Workshop is a joint research seminar of Accounting professors (Institute for Accounting, Auditing and Corporate Valuation, Institute for Production Management and Management Accounting, Institute for Accounting and Control, Institute for Taxation and Accounting). The aim of the seminar is to advance the academic exchange of local and external researchers in this area. Renowned guest researchers present the latest results of their projects. The guests will visit the Accounting institutes about 2-3 days and look forward to exchange with local postgraduates, postdocs and professors. For more details please click here.
The German fiscal court offers an annual moot-court-simulation. The LMU students compete with students from different universities reenacting a revision process. Cooperating with the chair for public and international tax law at the faculty of law, LMU (Prof. Dr. Moris Lehner), the Institute for Taxation at the University of Bayreuth (Prof. Dr. Sebastian Schanz) and the Institute for International and Liechtenstein tax law at the University of Liechtenstein (Prof. Dr. Martin Wenz) we provide a team of 6 to 8 participants. Date and place of the next moot-court-simulation will be communicated in time. Don't hesitate to contact the institutes assistants if you are interested.
5. Visit to the "Steuerberaterkammer" (German Chamber of Tax Advisors)
On this annual event the students of the Institute for Business Taxation and Accounting at the Munich School of Management and the students of the chair for Public and International Tax Law at the faculty of law, LMU, visit the German Chamber of Tax Advisors. The Institute of Taxation and Accounting offers students the possibility to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice using the tax software DATEV. The seminar will be held in cooperation with DATEV on irregular appointments. For further information please visit our German website.
