PhD Students Present Research Projects at US-Conference
The American Tax Association held its annual Midyear Meeting in San Antonio, TX (USA), from February 21st - 22nd, 2014.
The PhD students Anna Feller and Andreas Dinkel took the chance to present their research results in front of an international audience.
Anna Feller explained her results from a qualitative study on "tax avoidance" (toghether with Prof. Dr. Deborah Schanz). The research project is based on interviews with corporate tax managers, tax advisors and representatives of governmental tax authorities. It identifies important context factors that influence German companies in their tax management and optimization activities.
Andreas Dinkel presented the "Tax Attractiveness Index" (together with Dr. Sara Keller and Prof. Dr. Deborah Schanz). The index measures the attractiveness of countries with regards to corporate taxation. It is based on a broad selection of relevant factors that are important for international location decisions of corporations.
